Thoughts

So I've been awful at keeping up with this blog. But life as always has moved forward, with little sleep, lots of stress and plenty of memories. For the Spring semester of 2009, I have spent my time at The Loveland Reporter Herald in Loveland, Colorado. I have gained so much experience from them in so many different ways. The photo staff of three shooters, Chis Stark, Jenny Sparks and Steve Stoner have given me so much knowledge in both shooting and choosing photographs.
Working in a town like Loveland is what I wanted to do since high school. A small town paper. Loveland is a great place full of sculptures, different artwork and tons of friendly people. Though it is an area where I had not been, just 20 minutes from Fort Collins and full of farming.
And now, this chapter in my life is coming to a close. In just under three weeks I will be excepting my diploma from Metro as I walk across the stage in the Convention Center.
I have no job lined up, and lots of unanswered questions as to where I will be in the fall. But it is always a scary thing, when you realize your chapter is coming to a close. Though I know it is time.
I love the Metropolitan and being photo editor, and I will always hold that newsroom and those people close to me as I go through life. They helped to mold me in to who I am today. But it is time to move on.
Perhaps I will gain time to update my blog in the next chapter of my life.... :)
